Frederick Business & Professional Women is a non-partisan, non-sectarian, membership-supported organization whose goals are to achieve specific gains for women, such as equal rights under the law, pay equity, gender equality, and equitable treatment in insurance and pension plans, among others. A multifaceted organization, BPW strives to serve the needs of its members and their community through various programs and projects.

Scholarships:

Frederick BPW strives to award scholarships annually. While at least $1,000 is generally available to be awarded,the number and dollar amount of scholarship(s) are determined by the Scholarship Committee after review of the applications. The deadline for receipt of the scholarship application is March 15 of the upcoming year.

Scholarship focus:

Female Frederick County (Maryland) resident who has completed at least one year post-high school and demonstrates financial need to upgrade skills for the workforce.
