BPW FOUNDATION OF MARYLAND
The BPW Foundation of Maryland (BPWF/MD) is a nonprofit organization providing scholarships that enable individuals to acquire the education necessary for achieving their career goals. BPWMD encourages members to volunteer to serve on this committee. The following scholarships are offered:
- The BPW Foundation of Maryland Scholarship - for women 25 or over, seeking to upgrade skills for career advancement, to train for a new career, or to re-enter the job market.
- The D. Anita Small Science & Business Scholarship - for women enrolled in math, engineering, physical sciences, computer sciences, medical sciences, or a business-related field.
- The Kathryn M. Daugherty Education Scholarship - for individuals majoring in education, with preference given to elementary education. This scholarship is awarded at the beginning of the sophomore year with additional funds available for the junior and senior year contingent on maintaining the required GPA.
- The Barbara F. Hiltner Scholarship - for residents of Frederick County, Maryland majoring in business or finance.
- Florence A. Finlayson Scholarship - for individuals majoring in Business Administration.
BPW Foundation of Maryland (BPWF/MD) is recognized as a 501 (c)(3) organization and contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donations may be made payable to BPWF/MD and mailed to Joyce Draper, CFO, Business and Professional Women's Foundation of Maryland (BPWF/MD), 615 Fairview Avenue, Frederick, MD 21701.
